Buggy & Cave in Punta Cana

The Flinestone Buggy Adventure was an amazing experience for the entire family! My husband and I took our 3 boys (ages 13, 10, and 5), and there was something for everyone! The boys loved the dune buggy experience and the caves. The 5-year-old especially enjoyed the Flinestone area. This excursion also gives you a little taste of the countryside. We saw lots of plantain and mango trees, etc. We stopped at one of the homes on the countryside with a gorgeous garden in the backyard to try some local coffee. Best of all, the staff made us feel like family! We could not have asked for better tour guides. Also, there is an incredible photographer who captures amazing candid and staged images along the way. You will have the option to purchase images of the buggy ride, cave tour, and everything in between at the end of the tour. The images are high quality and well worth it for such a memorable experience. Very talented photographer!

We drove a rental car (careful, the ride onto the property is a bit bumpy). However, transportation is included with the price of your ticket if you'd rather be picked up from your hotel. Bottled water is provided, so there's no need to bring any with you. You should wear tennis shoes and clothes that you don't mind getting completely muddy. There are outdoor showers for use at the end. Bring a towel with you, and you'll be fine :-)

We had a wonderful time on this excursion. Ronald as the tour guide and Alex as the photographer are the absolute best. They were both very personable but professional. Ronald was very knowledgeable about the countryside as well as the history of Punta Cana, the Taino Indians and the caves. It was an engaging and fun family adventure. I highly recommend this tour and it is so affordable.

This was by far the best buggy adventure I have experience in my life. I decided to take my wife on a buggy ride for her birthday & she loves it.
Victor, our driver pick us up “on time” & drop us off with no hiccups to our resort. The Photographer Alex did a great Job taking pictures of the adventures the Tour guide Ronald was very friendly and helpful we caught a flat tire & the Mecanic, Dionicio was right there to fix it in no time, the Excursion assistant Ariel, was very accommodating when we visited the cave. Listen if you are looking for some adventure, I encourage you to take this ride. Some quick suggestions, wear something comfortable & if you don’t mind getting dirty. Bring your own goggles and bandana & some bottle water & snacks. We enjoy the stops along the way as well, just to see how others live in Punta Cana.

Made reservations to attend had a slight hiccup which was understandingly a mistake that could have happened to anyone. I must say this was not just rectified and fixed it was simply a great experience. Highly recommend to take this adventure not your average tour and I must so happy we did it. TOUR GUIDES were awesome, everything was clean and safety was TOP PRIORITY! The bathroom was clean, you have to check it out for yourself on your next trip to Punta Cana pay them a visit you wont be dissapointed!

It was a fun ride for the whole family (3 children 11, 9 and 6 years old). It is very bumpy und dusty, but a lot of fun. Guides were friendly. Photos (extra cost) are of good quality.

The included transfer from hotel to Flintstones headquarter (out in nowhere) was nearly as bumpy as the following buggy ride ;-)

My husband surprised me for my birthday with this buggy ride and surprisingly I had a blast. Very organized and ensured your safety. No one is ever left behind. We got a flat tire and the tour guide Ronald rushed back to us pumped that tire and we was straight. There was a stop in the country market so you can see how the locals in the country live and they had the best coffee. There was also a stop at a cave that was created from the ocean. Awesome experience. You had Alex taking great photos for you to remember. He was awesome. You also had the best mechanic Dionicio ready to repair of anything happen. I felt in the best of care and had a blast getting muddy. I cannot forget the young handsome excursion assistant Ariel who made sure we and especially me that we were okay. I had some challenges in the cave but they really took care of us. Go bring your friends you will not be disappointed.

We went April 2021 while COVID is still a thing and had a BLAST. Ronaldo and Alex were fantastic guides. We were actually the only people on the tour that day, (I assume because of Covid they are not getting much business), so it felt so special. They upgraded us to the larger 4x4 and gave us the greatest private tour ever. The drive was amazing as we drove by animals, locals, wildlife, and jungle. The stop at the small town and Francesca's market was surreal and a beautiful experience. The cave was so much fun, we had the local cat follow us through the whole cave! Alex got lots of fun pictures that we bought at the end of the tour for $50 which felt totally worth it. They came out great.
We were picked up right on time at our hotel lobby and dropped off right back at the lobby afterwards. We were a bit nervous being the only ones out there, but we're made to feel very safe by everyone and had a very memorable experience.

Absolutely amazing you learn so much and they take you on a dirt road to see how life really is in DR. The cave is breath taking! We took our 4 yr old and 6 year old and they enjoyed every moment! They saw cows, donkeys, horses and got to buy snacks from a local store.

Speed through the countryside bouncing and splashing on uneven ground as you make your way about 10km to an amazing cave deep in the hillside then follow your incredible tour guide and paparazzi into the super cool cave! Have your hiking shoes on for this one. Tour also stops at an authentic family residence for a cup of coffee made on an open flame to be enjoyed with the locals. All tour operators at this outfit are kind and very professional. Well worth the experience. Other buggy tours go on main roads and bring you to very crowded, but beautiful, locations. This one does not. You're deep in the countryside with no other tourists. If you're adventurous and love high speed thrills and beautiful natural caves, then come here!!

They picked us from the resort on time. The stuff was very helpful and made us comfortable by explaining us how to ride/drive the buggy. The buggy ride was fun filled - my 2 teenager son and daughter loved it. You can get all you off-ride experience you wanted from your vehicle here. Then they took us to a wonderful local family where we had local coffee. The cave visit was wonderful as well. It was an hectic day trip. They took photos for the trip and it was extra - $50 - but its worth it. Very good memorable pictures. Loved it.

We booked this excursion through expedia. It was easy to book and confirm details with the company. We were picked up by the company on an open-back bus. It was a bit bumpy and jolty and it may be difficult for some people to sit on the seats, however, we enjoyed it and the driver was friendly. Once at the ranch, we were greeted by Ronald who was welcoming, energetic, and friendly. He went over the rules and showed us how to drive the buggy. It was a great time! The buggies were fast and we were able to see the Dominican countryside, including farm animals and locals from the area. Jarvins, the photographer took some great photos and allowed us to splash through some muddy puddles while capturng the moment. The caves were the highlight of the excursion and were quite fascinating to explore. Ronald explained how the cave formed and was open to questions. The cave does have a lot of stairs and rough terrain, therefore, those with young children and/or mobility difficulties may find it hard to navigate. You are also not allowed to take your own photos of the cave, which does put pressure on you to purchase the professional ones. Once you arrive back at the ranch, you are given the chance to clean off, purchase souvenirs, or purchase the photographs that are taken. The photograph package is a bit expensive but Jarvins is a great photographer and captures a lot of different moments. Overall, a great excursion that we would love to do again!

Had a great time with the family. We were the only family on the tour and safety protocols were in place. Our tour guide and papparazi were awesome and took some amazing photos. They spoke English were well and everything was seamless. The pickup from the hotel was in a marked vehicle on time and drop off was in the same vehicle. Beautiful countryside although I wish I could have seen more of the people, we did stop at a local coffee shop/bodega. The cave exploring was great for the kids but if you are not physically fit, it could be a little challenging. All in all great time but be prepared to get dirty and not just a little bit. I had mud in places it should not have been but all smiles!

Went on this excursion with a friend during our 7-day stay in DR. Our hotel was fairly close to the excursion so we didn't experience a long travel to the excursion like some reviews. The instructor was multi-lingual which helped as he was able to accomodate the French speakers in our group. We made stops to a Dominican house for coffee and a cave. Some buggy rides take you to a water cave or a beach which I would have preferred with the weather being so hot. The ride is definitely dusty, you will need eye and mouth coverage for sure. If it had rained/just finished raining I think that would have added some edge to the ride but that is just a personal preference.
